Description

Grandma Green is a virtual pet and farming simulation game. The player plays as a lonely Grandma, whose magic green thumb causes her to grow fruit, flower, and vegetable golems! Through her tender care, a plant can grow and evolve and even produce rare hybrids. Grandma can enter her plants into competitions and use her winnings to upgrade her humble garden patch into her dream farm!

  • Co-lead a combined design & engineering team of 12 undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Responsible for core system design & architecture, as well as general technical design.
  • Worked closely with both UI & QA teams to make sure the implementation is following design as closely as possible.
  • Lead design for the garden systems including UI/UX, timers and economy while keeping player motivation in mind.
  • Designed and implemented the core pathfinding system with multithreaded functionality from Unity's C# Job System.
  • Implemented additonal pathfinding features such as path waypointing, navigational grid generation and spline generation for path following.
